I just watched the most hilarious, yet disturbing, thing I have possibly ever seen on television … well, at least lately. On “Larry King Live” tonight, Janet Jackson was trying to teach Larry King some of her dance moves. If you watch Larry King regularly, you might venture to guess how well that dance lesson went. It was pretty funny, but a really bad idea.
I admit I watch “Larry King Live” sometimes, but not at all because of King himself. I find him totally mediocre and somewhat boring. I watch his show because of the great guests he has on there most of the time. Sure, King seems like a great guy. But, it never seems like he takes the time to learn about any of his guests. I know before I interview a singer, I like to research them first and try to get a sense of who they are. I don’t think King does that at all. And if he does, he doesn’t do too great of a job at it. Some of the questions he asks his guests, I just have to shrug my shoulders and say to myself, “What? Why did he ask that? That’s stupid.”
But he has had a successful show for a long time now, so good for him. I’ll continue to watch whenever he has a guest that I find interesting. But, really, you should have caught the short bit with Janet Jackson trying to teach him how to busta move. Hilarious stuff. It was like trying to teach a robot how to breakdance.
