In Max Entertainment Magazine tomorrow will be:

1. An interview with country singer/songwriter Eric Church. He will perform at the Tarheel Opry House in Jacksonville Friday night. He was great to talk to for the interview. He was very chatty and friendly, an all-around nice guy it seemed. He’s an extremely talented songwriter and is doing really well for himself in country music, and he’s a native of North Carolina. Check out the article in Max or at www.maxmag.com and see what Church had to say about his career, his marriage, letting loose and having fun on tour, and more.

2. Aniesa Holmes did a story on the comedy play “Squabbles” that Sneads Ferry Community Theatre is putting on starting this weekend. They are the only local community theater, so it is great to support them and their efforts to bring the art of theater to our area. Read the article in Max or at www.maxmag.com for more.

3. In Take 5, we talked about the new season of “Dancing with the Stars,” books by Eminem and Tori Spelling, and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt having yet another little one.

4. Shawn and I reviewed the thriller “Vantage Point.” I seemed a little bit more annoyed by the way they filmed it than Shawn did. They constantly revert back to the beginning. But, it does give new information each time. Not one of my favorites. If you want to send in a review of “Semi-Pro” (with Will Ferrell) for us to use next week in “Keepin’ It Reel,” e-mail it to max@freedomenc.com. The one submitted review we choose to run will receive free movie passes.

5. Someone did a review of a restaurant in downtown Jacksonville called Elsa’s Place.

6. Make sure you check out the complete calendar sections online at www.maxmag.com. There is a lot going on in our local area and close by. As spring approaches, there is more and more to do. It’s impossible to print the entire calendar sections in the print edition of Max, so make sure you give it a glimpse online.

On tap for next week’s Max will be a Q&A with comedian/voicestrumentalist Michael Winslow, who starred in the Police Academy movies. He will bring his comedy, complete with a large amount of sound effects, to Sywanyks in Jacksonville March 19. Make sure you pick up a copy next week to read more, or visit www.maxmag.com.
