tippin.jpgA show that you’ll have to check out, especially if you like country music (or music in general), is the Aaron Tippin show coming up at Hooligans in Jacksonville Friday, April 27.

Tippin was a huge country star in the ’90s. He took a few years off to make his own record label and now has a new album out called “Now and Then.” It has a mix of his best hits on it, as well as some new tunes that are just as good as the old ones. It’s really nice to have him back in the country music scene.

Tippin is best-known for his country-rock hits “Where The Stars and Stripes and The Eagles Fly,” “You’ve Got To Stand For Something,” “Kiss This,” “There Ain’t Nothing Wrong With The Radio” and “Working Man’s Ph.D.” His songs are classic country songs that will be played for a long, long time.

He has two new songs out right now from his new album. One is titled “He Believed” in tribute to his father who recently passed away. And, “Ready To Rock (In A Country Kinda Way),” which follows along the lines of his awesome rocking style.

I have an interview planned with Tippin soon, so look in a future edition of Max Entertainment Magazine for the story. Tippin has always been a huge supporter of the military, so being a military town, it would be great to see a lot of people coming out to support him as well.

You can get tickets for the concert at Hooligans, Extreme Outfitters on Western Boulevard, Northwoods Tobacco or www.etix.com.

I have never seen Tippin live in concert, but I have a huge feeling that this is going to be an awesome, fun concert. His songs really are great and really get you in the party mood. Plus, the concert is 3 days after my birthday, so come celebrate my birthday with me. Hopefully I can make it there.
