If you don’t have the Rascal Flatts CD, “Me And My Gang,” you really need to get it. It doesn’t matter if you are a country fan or a pop/rock music fan. The album appeals to both genres, although it does have it’s characteristics unique to country. Country fans will get a kick out of the rollicking, humorous song, “(That’s What You Get When You Play A Country Song) Backwards.” It’s just a clever, fun song. Thanks to my boss, I have had the album since Christmas and am totally amazed. It is a fantastic piece of work. Each and every song on the album is great. These three guys are the real deal and really know how to produce a solid album. Gary LeVox, the group’s lead singer, could sing just my name and it would be jaw-dropping. Trust me, I play the CD real loud all the time in my car. It gets even better the louder you play it. The newest release on radio from the CD is ”Stand,” which is a wonderful song that talks about lifting oneself up from life’s bumps in the road and moving on. That’s what makes their music still country. Country music speaks more to the heart than other genres and the lyrics are often very insightful and inspiring. It has to be one of the best (if not THE best) CD released in 2006.
